Relocating is never an easy decision to make, and brings with it a lot of challenges. Relocating often means leaving behind loved ones, cherished possessions, learning a new language and fear of the unknown, which may all lead to an initial feeling of frustration and nostalgia. Purchasing a property in a foreign country can be a daunting task to say the least.
Where do you start? Well, my personal recommendation is always to rent for a few months whilst exploring the country and deciding on which location is best suited to your needs. Once you have decided on a location, find someone reliable to assist you in the search for the “right” property and assist in seeing the process through to the final purchase. Having someone to assist in this process takes away a lot of the stresses.
Each country has different processes, rules and regulations and when it comes to property purchases the same applies in Uruguay. This can be a pretty confusing time for the best of us, especially if we are not in command of the Spanish language. If you would like to have a chat, please feel free to contact me and we can arrange a time and date. I would gladly recommend some reliable property agents, translators, lawyers (if required), notaries, accountants, immigration assistance etc.all of them being able to speak English. We look forward to hearing from you, and please remember that our goal is to help you as effectively and efficiently as possible, thereby saving you time and money.
